CALGARY, Alta.—Trimac is pleased to announce the appointment of Grant Borbridge to Chief Legal Officer. Borbridge will oversee Legal, Risk and Insurance, and Environmental Compliance, alongside playing an integral role in shaping the company’s strategic direction as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
 
Borbridge joined Trimac in 2021 as Vice President, Legal and Corporate Security. Based out of Trimac’s headquarters in Calgary, Alta., Borbridge brings over two decades of legal leadership experience across a broad range of industries, including oil and gas, transportation, retail, biotechnology and asset management, with a career spanning several states and provinces in Canada and the United States. He holds degrees in political science and law, as well as an MBA.

Prior to joining Trimac, Borbridge held senior legal roles such as Senior Vice President, Legal at MEG Energy and Executive Vice President at Emergo Group. He was also awarded the RVA Jones Award by the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association in 2018 for his exceptional contributions to the in-house legal profession.
 
Beyond his professional commitments, Borbridge has served in various administrative roles within local hockey organizations, including the Calgary Royals and Glenlake Minor Hockey Club. Since 2022, Borbridge has also served on the board of directors for Hockey Canada, the national governing body for hockey.
